Why
take advantage (of it)...!
In 1965, René Lalou, the Chairman of Mumm Champagne offered this chapel to Leonard Foujita, who was a Buddhist and Japanese by
birth. He was experienced an outburst of faith for Catholicism when visiting the Basilica of Saint-Remi in Reims and designed the
Romanesque-inspired chapel, before personally ensuring its interior decoration and in particular twelve frescoes using a medieval technique which did not allow for any touching up.
