Champagne by bike contains a network of almost 300 miles of green trails

A regional label

Champagne by Bike and The Ardennes by Bike contain a network of almost 300 miles of green trails through the region that take cyclists away from the hazards of the roads.

This constantly-growing network of paths has been primarily developed along the towpaths that run beside the numerous canals and waterways in the region; others follow disused railway tracks.

From the meandering River Meuse, which cuts through the Ardennes, to the dykes on Lake Der, the man-made lakes of the Forêt d'Orient and the Marne Valley between Champagne and Bourgogne, these guides are packed with many opportunities to get to know the diverse and enchanting countryside of the Champagne-Ardenne.

Trails to discover

The French Cycling Federation (Fédération française de Cyclotourisme) and la Champagne, la Marne offer you a selection of nearly 40 trails to discover the best of the Champagne region.

A Quality Charter

Signed by local businesses (accommodation and hire companies), Departmental Tourist Boards and the Champagne-Ardenne Regional Tourist Board, the Charter contains a number of important measures to meet the standards expected by cycle tourists.

The businesses who have signed up to the Champagne à Vélo (Champagne by Bike) label are the best services to use on your cycle tour of Champagne in the Marne department.
