Mount Sinaï located 286 meters high offers a perfect promontory. It was there on the heights of Verzy village that the Allies installed their military observatory in 1914. The mount offered the ideal viewpoint to observe the German positions placed on the other side of the Vesle River on mounts Berru and Haut. Today Mount-Sinaï and its bunkers are listed as Historical Monuments.
