The town of Aÿ-Champagne lies right in the heart of the Champagne wine-growing area, the historic hillsides of which are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

This town has natural heritage, with its wine-growing land, but also cultural and industrial: a Gothic church, imposing private mansions, famous champagne houses (Ayala, Bollinger, Deutz...), Champagne architecture and alleyways which are nice to stroll through…

Aÿ is also the birthplace of a master glass-blower and jeweller: René Lalique.
The Tourist Office gives you the opportunity to set off to explore this rather unassuming town, the wine of which was highly appreciated by King Henry IV.
