Why
take advantage (of it)...!
Stretching along a line seven kilometres long, Courtisols can claim to be the longest village in France. So there are plenty of opportunities to explore as you walk along the Vesle, close to its source: the three churches, two of which are Romanesque, the restored Massez park, and the last water mill. It is also pleasant to walk along the paths in the wooded landscape to see the village from a different aspect. Do they still grow cabbages? To be sacrificed to the curious custom performed by young people of throwing the stalks. What for? That remains a mystery.
