What has brought good luck to Congy, a village in the Brie des ‚tangs, is that it has kept its rural architectural heritage that is so envied elsewhere. Like the timbered market, unique in the district. Or the washhouse with its basin at ground level fed by a spring. Or the fountains playing in the streets and brightened up by flowers. And of course the castle whose 20th century replica is an exact copy of the former 16th century edifice, still visible with its tower and gateway.
