From Dormans to Lac du Der
This 3-day tour alternates between the V52 cycle route and small roads through the vineyards to discover the nuggets of the Marne region.
Cycle route from Dormans to Lac du Der (3 days)
Created by the Marne Tourism board and entirely ‘turnkey’, this tour takes you from the town of Dormans to Lac du Der in 3 days. This genuine tourist itinerary offers cultural visits along the way, as well as suggestions for restaurants and hotels to stop off at.
The use of electric bikes is recommended (particularly for the first day), but not compulsory. Indeed, while the first day offers a few climbs in the vineyards that should be taken into account, the next two days have virtually no difference in altitude. The third day which occurs to be the longest one can be done partly by train, from Châlons-en-Champagne to Vitry-le-François.
This 158km route is easy to moderate in difficulty, making it suitable for a wide range of people (tourists, families, occasional cyclists, etc.).
