Ecomusée Atelier de la Main de Massiges
Why
take advantage (of it)...!
This craftsman has been awarded the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Best Worker in France) and makes roof ornaments, weather vanes, and weathercocks, etc. He works metal such as copper, lead, zinc, and brass.
He enjoys showing visitors around the workshop-museum that he built himself in keeping with ancient building traditions, telling you all about his displays of old tools, popular art pieces (some date from the 15th century) and sculptures.
You can admire several Works by the Best Workers in France, roof ornaments (such as the roof ridge from the Château de Lunéville, the angel's wing from the large stables at the Château de Chantilly) and a unique collection of weathercocks originally shown on a full wall of the building.
