Why
take advantage (of it)...!

The Duduchothèque was opened in honour of Jean Cabut, called Cabu, a caricaturist, press cartoonist, and comic book artist.

Born on 13 January 1938 in Châlons-en-Champagne, this was where Cabu drew his first crayon-strokes. Killed during the attack on Charlie Hebdo on 7 January 2015, he was laid to rest in his home town, which wanted to pay tribute to him by creating a cultural space.

Named after the Grand Duduche, a character created by Cabu, the archetypical bottom-of-the-class student and an evocation of the journalist’s childhood, the Duduchothèque is a space for exhibition, readings, research, film, and learning.

The (little) plus

It features 80 works selected from among the donation of childhood drawings made by Cabu’s family in the spring of 2018 to Châlons-en-Champagne. The Duduchothèque, located inside the “Châlons, Town of Art and History” Space, also allows you to discover the history and heritage of Châlons, which were dear to Cabu, and much more.
