Starting from
Bignicourt-sur-Saulx

During the first Battle of the Marne from 6 to 12 September 1914, Bignicourt-sur-Saulx was almost entirely destroyed. Today this pretty little village lives around its château, the neoclassical style "villa Paladienne" with its seven ionic columns 7 metres high and the symmetry of its construction very much in fashion at the time.
