A residential village in the conglomeration of Châlons, Sarry has made considerable efforts to enhance its living environment, with a landscaped car park on the Town Hall square. History tells us that the village had a castle used as a place of residence for the Bishops of Châlons. It even received King Charles VII, who stayed there for over three months with part of his court. Royal decrees and peace treaties show Sarry's temporary role as administrative capital of France.
