Why go there?
A town in the Marne valley, Villers is full of woods and vines. For a long time, its history was written by the nobles living in the castle, of which one tower remains. The present edifice was built in 1927 and can be seen at the top of the hillside. Destroyed in the First World War, the church was rebuilt on the same spot. It had a 17th century cut glass chandelier. Listed as a historical monument, this priceless object was transferred to Paris in 1935 for repair work. It is still there...
