The two names are linked, but there were not two villages originally. Once prosperous thanks to its pottery, its mint and its port on the Marne, Binson did not stand up to the many invasions and destructions. The battered village was therefore taken over by the bigger hamlet, Orquigny. Nestled between two vine-covered hillsides, the village is traversed by two routes. One, for walkers, is the GR 14, and has an open picnic area in the centre. The other, aquatic this time, is the Rue de Camp. After activating the wheels of the mills, the waterway is now regaining interest. The fifteen footbridges which span the water are covered in flowers that add a touch of delicacy. The residents of the village have been cultivating this art for the last quarter century.
